What is embodied dance?
This movement practice celebrates the sensuality of life itself, starting with whatever is present in your being and moving with that as we unwind tension patterns. From there, we move into awakening new possibilities for pleasure, strength, and creativity in your body. We take that sense of aliveness to our connection with others and the world around us.
In a full sensual embodied dance experience, we move toward connection with others and relational practices, getting intimate with group and witness consciousness, and embodying the dance of life itself, being fully seen in our unique experience of life in that moment.
After decades of dissociation triggered by the trauma of oppression, embodied dance brought me back to myself. I danced with everything from my shadows to playful, sexy vibes.
Delve into your innate sensual experience.
Have fun.
Expand your world and experience of aliveness.
‘What a beautiful gift you’ve given us, holding this space for us, encouraging us to listen to the wisdom of our bodies while gently holding our hand and guiding us. So nourishing’

Embodied dance is not
- A performance.
- A new way to seduce people, though an embodied human is magnetic.
- Another routine that you have to get right.
Come play safely in the realms of sensuality, pleasure, and aliveness.
Embodied dance gave me back my life.
Embodied dance has been a deep dive for me, through grief, vulnerability of being seen, and ultimately the way I process life, opening up to so much more of it.
From unwinding tension patterns in the body to moving hips in a way that awakens resistance and pleasure all at once, to practices that build connection with others and the world outside of ourselves, to experience being deeply seen, and witnessing the dance of life itself, this is pure magic, blossoming into a flow state where divinity, oneness, and a force outside yourself can move you, dance you, breathe you open to more life.
”Thank you Freya that was amazing… It was so hot that my device overheated….”
This magnificent methodology, developed by Holly Wodetski, my teacher, can be delivered in a 2.5 – 3-hour experience, but there are plenty of bite-sized experiences to get you started on your embodied dance of life path.
It’s not just a vibe; it’s a rainbow of vibes and flavours.
My deepest gratitude and respect flow from my heart to my teacher, Holly Wodetski. Here is a description of the Sensual Embodied Dance methodology in her words.
